Today my youngest daughter graduated from ISR swimming classes. She is 16 months old and is now able to save her self in the water by rolling over to float and then back over to swim to safety. This is an amazing course and a must for those of us that live around the water. For anyone that has never heard of it, ISR is Infant Swimming Resource. Private lessons taught by highly skilled instructors every day for up to 10 minutes. It usually takes between 4-7 weeks for the little ones to master the skills. By their graduation they are able to swim-float-swim, in everything from a diaper to a winter clothes with boots on. They are trained how to rescue themselves in water and how to float until they are rescued if there is no way out of the water. As a parent this offers an extra peace of mind. I was able to capture this awesome day for my daughter and many of the other children taking ISR along side her. A long way from shooting marine life, who knew shooting babies could be so rewarding:) For more information on ISR here in Tampa go to www.tampaswimbabies.com or www.infantswim.com for anywhere else.
